Vivo 5G

Vivo has introduced its latest smartphone, which includes the company’s largest battery to ever. While the phone’s specifications were leaked last month when China Mobile added it to its database, the maker has now officially announced the phone.

Display and Design

The phone’s display is a 6.58-inch LCD panel with a Full HD+ (1080p) resolution and a waterdrop notch for the 8MP front camera. For authentication, the phone will have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor incorporated right into the power button. The phone’s back appears to have a glossy finish, and it will be available in Blue, Pink, or Black.

Cameras

The Y55s 5G comes with a dual-camera system on the back. It has a 50MP f/1.8 primary lens, as well as a 2MP f/2.4 macro lens for pictures up to 4 cm. The camera system is equipped with cutting-edge AI technology.

Battery

This smartphone’s most striking feature is its massive 6000 mAh battery. Through the USB-C connector, the huge battery supports 18W fast charging. The starting selling price for this smartphone is CNY 1,699 ($267). There’s no information yet on pricing or a release date for the international market.

Storage

The Y55s 5G is a significant advance over the Y55s model from 2017. The Dimensity 700 chipset, which is a capable mid-range processor built on a 7 nm architecture, powers the Y55s 5G. The smartphone also comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
On top of Android 11, the Vivo Y55s 5G runs OriginOS 1.0. A 3.5mm audio jack is one of the additional features.
