From now on, Samsung’s S20 models have started receiving Android 11 and One UI 3.0 through Verizon. Yesterday Verizon announced that for the first time ever in the US, Samsung S20 Galaxy phones will be updated with Android 11 and One UI 3.0. According to Droid-Life, the new software update has already been rolled out to customers. For the last two months, the UI 3.0 was in the public beta phase, but now it has marked the official release of the software for users.
In the coming weeks, the update is all set to roll out to other regions as well, apart from the US. On its support page, Verizon announced the One UI 3.0 update for the Samsung S20 Galaxy phones. The UI is based on Android 11 software. Recently, the big tech South Korean company, Samsung, has also released a list of phones which will be receiving the new update. It has highlighted the list of phones, and the S20 Galaxy models remain the first to receive this update.
Along with some add on features, particularly for One UI, the update features messaging, security, and notifications features of Android 11. Users can easily access widgets now, take screenshots, and can put the phone to sleep with the help of a double tap. Apart from this, the phone also has updated features like an enhanced and upgraded lock screen, quick panels. Moreover, the users will also be able to pin the conversations on top of the screen with the help of ‘Bubbles’. This will help the users to prioritize essential conversations.
The international release of One UI 3.0 is also gearing up. According to Android Police, Samsung company has sent out a complete schedule of update release dates to the users in Egypt; therefore, sometime in December, this update will be rolled out. As per the release schedule, the next Samsung phones in line to receive the update are Note 20, S10, Note 10, and Z Fold. Although the update will take some time to be on the Samsung phones, but will definitely provide an enhanced user experience.
