Samsung has launched the Galaxy Buds 2, its latest TWS earphones, alongside its latest foldables. With a redesigned design and active noise cancellation provided by six microphones, these earbuds are one of the lightest on the market.
These earphones’ speaker is divided into two parts: a woofer and a tweeter. This results in crisp high notes and deep atmospheric lows. These earbuds are barely 5 grammes each, and the case adds only 41 grammes to the total weight.
Each bud has three microphones, allowing for active noise reduction while listening to music as well as “excellent call quality.” The Active Noise Cancellation system can block up to 98 percent of ambient noise, but there is also an Ambient Mode if you want to hear what’s going on around you.
In a noisy environment, a separate Speech Pickup Unit (VPU) driven by AI ensures that the microphones only pick up your voice. Machine learning solutions, such as adapting to environmental sounds like traffic, wind, and emergency vehicles, are also included in the earphones.
The Galaxy Wearable app may be used to modify noise control and set up an equalisation for the earbuds. Auto Transition is another function that allows you to smoothly switch between multiple Galaxy devices such as phones, tablets, laptops, and so on.
Samsung doesn’t indicate battery life, although the battery capacity is the same as the Galaxy Buds Pro at 472 mAh.
The Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 will cost $150 and come in four colours: Graphite, White, Oliver Green, and Lavender.
