Money Heist

Hello, Berlin. It’s been a long time. Money Heist isn’t ending after all, which is fantastic news for fans who have been lamenting its premature conclusion. The show’s makers have revealed a spin-off in 2023 that would have Berlin as the major character, with part two of the Money Heist season 5 airing this Friday (December 3).

According to Variety, the spinoff of the blockbuster Spanish series La Casa de Papel would center primarily on Berlin and his life outside the nine other robbers from Tokyo, Nairobi, Moscow, Rio de Janeiro, Denver, Helsinki, Stockholm, Oslo, and Manila. Despite the fact that several of the gang’s members have died tragically throughout the series, we hope that in the future, the show’s writers will create a devoted series for each character.

Berlin aka Andrés de Fonollosa (played by Pedro Alonso) is not just the man who originated the phrase “Bella Ciao” in the program, but also one of the masterminds behind all of the heists witnessed thus far. Thank you, Alonso, for winning our hearts with your outstanding performance!

Though it’s yet uncertain whose direction the program will go, one thing is certain: Heist fans will not be disappointed. We hope that the spin-off reveals more about Berlin’s role in the crimes, as well as what makes him such an ambiguous jewel thief and his condition.
