Fans of Food Wars can’t wait to see a new episode of Food Wars next season. Shokugeki no Soma: The Fifth Plate is on Food Wars Season 6, but it doesn’t look like the animated show will be back any time soon.
Food Wars! The fifth season of Shokugeki no Soma ended in September 2020. The hit anime series stayed popular for a long time, and the anime version got an amazing 8.2/10 rating on IMDB and an 8.18/10 rating on MyAnimeList.
Food Wars! is based on a manga series called Soma of the Shokugeki, which was written by Yuto Tsukada and drawn by Shun Saeki. Yoshitomo Yonetani is in charge of the anime version of Food Wars!, which started airing on April 4, 2015. So far, 85 episodes have been shown.

When will Season 6 of Food Wars come out?
Even though we’d love to see another season of Food Wars, it doesn’t look like the anime show will come back for season 6. Shortly after season 4 ended, the news came that the show would be back for a fifth season. But season 5 will also be the last season of the show as a whole.
As of this writing, neither J.C. Staff nor the licensees have renewed the show for a sixth season. The fifth season of the show was said to be the last. The manga has been fully adapted at this point, so no more seasons are expected. The new season of the anime is not in any of the studio’s works for 2022.
We can look at some things first to figure out if there will be a sixth season of the show. One of them is whether or not there are enough ideas for anime.
The most recent volume of the manga was ranked 13th on the list of 2019’s best-selling manga. The 36 volumes of the manga series were released at the same time as the last episode of the anime series, which aired in 2019. The manga series is over and is no longer being made.
Fans shouldn’t give up hope, though, because the anime could still come back in the form of OVAs, prequel series, or even a movie. We already have five OVA episodes. Two of them came out in 2016, two in 2017, and the last one will come out in 2018.
As of this writing, there have been no official announcements about OVAs or movies based on the popular series, but who knows? We’ll let you know about the latest news.

During the series, we’ve seen Soma improve his skills and make a name for himself in the world of cooking.

Fans had different feelings about the end of the season. Some people are sad that the popular show will finally end.

Some fans wanted to see more of the budding romance between Soma and Erina.
“Food Wars with 5 Seasons just came to a close. And man. Was that a crazy ride! I kind of want to see Soma tell Erina the truth or something, yo! Just that last part. One fan tweeted, “Give me an Ova or something!”
Of course, there are people who don’t like the ending.
