Elon Musk, the CEO of SpaceX, will not be joining Twitter’s board of directors, according to Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal. Musk would be named to the board of directors, according to Agrawal, after he purchased 9.2 percent of the company’s stock. Musk, on the other hand, has since changed his mind.

Musk would not have been able to possess more than 14.9 percent of the company if he had joined the board. Musk owns $2.89 billion worth of Twitter stock, making him the company’s largest stakeholder.
Musk had been openly tweeting about his company’s plans. Only a day before the long-awaited feature was handed out, he tweeted a poll asking users what they felt about an edit feature for their tweets.
