If you are using an iPhone and noticing that you are not receiving any notifications upon receiving SMS or iMessage, you are not the only one. There is an increasing number of iPhone users who are complaining that they are not receiving iMessages and SMS notifications on their iPhones. The issue is associated with iOS 14 that is affecting various models of iPhone, including iPhone 12.
There was also an extensive report issued by MacRumors last month regarding the new iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max phones. However, this problem is also affecting the older versions of iPhones as well. Therefore, it is looking like that the issue is associated with the new iOS 14 and not the iPhone models. Even I have noticed some of the messages appearing on my screen, whereas the rest of them just don’t show up. I get to know about them when I open my message box.
Some people have tried force closing the messages app, and it has fixed the issue for some, but it completely seems like it is a bug. The people who are still dealing with this issue are not at all happy with Apple as they have not come with a solution yet. The recipients are not even aware of the messages they are receiving, which is also causing a significant delay in people’s reply time. iOS 14.3 is going to release next week hopefully and might solve this issue for the iPhone users.
